Jackie has been a member of the Village Books team since fall 2004 (but where she has itched to work since age 10). Jackie attends the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana (GO IRISH!), where she is studying political science and philosophy. There Will Never Be Another You by Carolyn See (Random House, May 2006, $24.95)

This book was fantastic! Set in the present and moving into the future, See explores the strange dynamics of a family living in post-9/11 Los Angeles (with lots of scenes in the Palisades), where the threat of terrorism is very real. That howeveris a background to the interactions of the people who are forced to live in this new world and adapt to everything it has to offer. Extremely heartfelt and accurate to the human emotions of daily life. A quick and wonderful read!
